  • Our minds are often busy, cluttered with thoughts and can be easily distracted. Our ability to concentrate, focus and follow through with a project can be jeopardized by our “unfocused mind”. Mindfulness meditation, an ancient practice, aims to cultivate a state of focused attention, create emotional ease and deepen our ability to be present. Effective work habits and productivity are enhanced and the ability to be present, connect and relate with colleagues increases.

  • Stress impacts every aspect of your health, your relationships, your work performance and your life. When we feel overwhelmed, anxious, frazzled, exhausted and unmotivated, it may be the result of a “pile up” of stress. Learning how to master your stress begins with identifying your unique “stress triggers”, “response pattern” and resulting behaviors.

Elevate above by raising your awareness and understanding of stress and cultivating skills for creating a positive mindset, a balanced mood state, a more relaxed body and mindful communication. Individuals effectively managing stress contributes to a healthier, happier and more successful individual, team and workplace environment.

  • Duke University’s Integrative Medicine Center innovated a comprehensive model for achieving health and well-being, “The Wheel of Health”. Individuals self-evaluate their desired state of well-being, and create a plan for achieving their health goals. In this engaging, interactive presentation, participants will utilize the Wheel of Health to clarify and map out their desired health goals, write a plan of action, set attainable goals and learn skills and tools for achieving success. Half-day or full day seminar.

  • The COVID-19 pandemic deeply impacted our mental and emotional health and overall sense of dependability, predictability and safety. We have reorganized around a “new normal”, yet not with great ease, trust and acceptance.

We live a short distance from the pandemic, a modern day trauma which impacted our personal and professional lives. The challenges and scars of this traumatic event will linger in our minds, hearts and bodies and influence our everyday functioning at home and at the workplace. Gain knowledge, self-understanding and strategies for regaining mental clarity and positivity, emotional safety and balance, and healthy work behaviors. Don’t let the lingering effects of COVID-19 hold your organization back.

  • We exercise, eat healthy, and find balance to achieve physical health. But what about our psychological health? Our mental well-being is just as important, yet often neglected. Talking about our mental health and wellness has been a taboo subject, misunderstood, feared and stigmitized. In this positive, upbeat presentation, learn skills and tools for building and strengthening psychological well-being.

  • Trauma affects every aspect of our lives and every level of an organization. A trauma-informed organization mitigates the adverse effects and protects its members.

Trauma is generally defined as an emotional injury that leaves a lasting effect on our well-being and performance. Trauma is complicated; everyone experiences their trauma differently. However, we naturally look to the organizations we’re a part of and our colleagues for support. A trauma-informed workplace is one that understands how trauma affects individuals, groups, and communities. Trauma-informed policies and practices mitigate those negative effects for a safe, inclusive, and resilient workplace. There will always be another crisis on the horizon. However, a trauma-informed organization will weather the storm and rise above the challenge.
