A professional development specialist, educator and advocate, Laurie’s career in the field of education, service and advocacy spans decades.  She has been on the front line of social issues affecting our youth, both nationally and internationally, and has served as a community liaison.  Laurie is the former Director of the Global Educator Centre for Excellence at the International Centre for Missing & Exploited Children (ICMEC) and currently works as SCAN where she manages prevention and response programs for youth-service organizations across the Northern Virginia region.
